The winners of the 28th Annual Telly Awards have been announced and ReviewFest is proud to honored in this year's competition, taking home the Bronze Trophy in Live Events. The Telly Awards is the premier awards competition honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, outstanding film and video productions, and groundbreaking web commercials, videos and films. With a record 14,362 entries from all 50 states and around the world, this year's competition has been the most competitive and successful in the long history of the Telly Awards.

Welcome to the 2008 Newport Beach Film Festival
Between April 24th and May 1st, the 2008 Newport Beach Film Festival will showcase more than 350 films from around the world, offering an ambitious and international selection of features, shorts, documentaries and animation that will compete for both Jury and Audience awards.
Now in its 9th year, the Festival is proud to treat its audience to World and U.S. premieres, Academy Award entries, Sundance Selections, a Spotlight Series, and Children's Festival, from both the independent and studio worlds. With submissions from Asia, Europe, South/Central America and Africa, classic and contemporary filmmaking will provide a unique mix of genre and culture.
Since its beginnings, the Festival has presented many acclaimed films, including Crash, Layer Cake, Dust to Glory, Sexy Beast, Spellbound, Dogtown and Z Boys, Joint Security Area, and Castle in the Sky, as well as anniversary screenings of classics such as The French Connection, Sunset Boulevard, 50th anniversary of Jim Henson Company and The Outsiders. As a result, the Newport Beach Film Festival has quickly gained recognition both from filmmakers and audiences, and is expected to attract more than 40,000+ people in 2008.
In addition, the Newport Beach Film Festival offers a rare opportunity to meet the filmmakers. Directors, screenwriters and cinematographers eager to share their work will provide an exclusive inside look at the industry during post-screening Q&A's.
Set in beautiful Newport Beach, a few blocks away from spectacular coastline and less than an hour from Hollywood, the Festival will host several premieres, galas and yacht parties for a singular festival experience. Films will be shown throughout the city that boasts one of the largest movie consumer groups in the world, a rich filmmaking history as well as fine dining, shopping, and exceptional recreational activities.

The Beach Party at the Threshold of Hell Nat'l Lampoon suits up for 'Beach Party' (July 27, 2007) Appearing in the Wednesday July 18, 2007 issue of The Hollywood Reporter
National Lampoon has acquired theatrical and home video rights to International Danger Alliance's post apocalyptic comedy "Beach Party at the Threshold of Hell." The film, which premiered at last year's Los Angeles Film Festival, is set 20 years in the future after the fall of the U.S. It was written and stars Kevin Wheatley, who also co-directed with Jonny Gillette. The film will be released in the fall through National Lampoon Releasing and will be distributed to home video in first-quarter 2008 through National Lampoon Home Entertainment.
